Universal remote control complete control program what. I own three mx900 remotes, all purchased through authorized dealers, and i have been using the mx900 editor software to program them. Mx890 11n09t mx810 mx880 mx950 mx980 remote urc mx890 remote control urc r50 digital universal remote control for up to 18 components discontinued by manufacturer. As an existing user of urcs mx editor software, its not too surprising that i preferred the mx900s software. Remotes compatible with urc complete control mx900 files. I cant get it from their site because im not a professional installer. So now the dealer wants something in writing from URC giving them permission to offer me the software, which URC won't provide. In need of mx900 editor program anybody know where i can download a copy of the universal remotes mx900 editor software. But my dealer says it's against their license with URC (which URC then denied, and insisted it was the dealer's choice). They DID tell me that my dealer could give me the software if they wanted to. I called URC, and tried the form, but they refused to offer me the software. They're happy to sell me an entirely new remote system (from another manufacturer) at a multi-K pricepoint, but wont' touch my MX-3000 with a 10' USB cable. An installer sold me an MX-3000 and MSC-400 several years ago, and now that I need a component change, they no longer support the older URC models. Hello, due to a hard disk crash I lost my MX-3000 editor software obteined directly from URC. I just setup mx3000 editor but it doesent seem to work for the 3000i which i have it wont recognise the remote would you know any tricks to get this going? Has anyone run into a similar difficulty? Any chance you could point me in the right direction to find the software so that I can make just a couple changes? I spent big bucks on the remote and would love to keep using it. I have no interest in doing that-I'm comfortable with the software (just reprogrammed my MX850, in fact.) and would prefer not to hire someone to do something I'm perfectly capable of doing. Instead, they gave me a list of A/V shops in the area that would reprogram it for a fee. I changed components recently and wanted to make some changes to the setup, so I called URC to try to get the software. I bought an MX-3000 a few years ago from Tweeter, which has subsequently gone out of business. So, I just called URC and told them my story.
